Teeth extractions in Quail Ridge

Quail Ridge Dentist

If you need to have a tooth extracted, you should visit us at our dental practice, Avanti Dental Care. Our Quail Ridge dentist, Dr. Juan Sauza, will be able to provide you with the expert dental care that you need, including teeth extractions.

There are many reasons that teeth extractions may be necessary. At our dental practice, teeth extractions are performed using local anesthesia. Teeth may need to be extracted for different reasons. However, our primary goal at our dental practice is to always try to save the life of the tooth. But, there are times when teeth do need to be extracted. For example, sometimes a patient will be in extreme pain and will come to us with a tooth that is seriously infected or damaged. If it is evident that the tooth cannot be saved during a root canal procedure, our Quail Ridge dentist may likely decide that the tooth should be extracted. When a tooth is infected and cannot be saved, it is important that the tooth is extracted as soon as possible to prevent the spreading of infection to other parts of the mouth, or even to other parts of the body. Other times, a patient may be having orthodontic treatment. If a mouth is overcrowded with teeth, making it impossible for the orthodontic care to proceed without some tooth extractions, we are able to provide that tooth extraction service. Today, many patients are able to have interceptive orthodontic care between the ages of seven and 11, which often greatly reduces the need for this type of tooth extraction. A common source of tooth pain is when wisdom teeth develop problems. Many wisdom teeth become infected, and need to be extracted in order to keep the mouth healthy. If wisdom teeth are removed, they do not need to be replaced with dental implants or other teeth replacement treatments.
